Round-up: MSSA U16 – August 8th, 2016
A quick round up of all the fixtures that took place on both the grounds on Monday, August 8th in the Mumbai School Sports Association(MSSA) 2016-17 season.
MSSA Ground, Azad Maidan
With a whole new week upon us, we move to the Azad Maidan for a round-up of all the results of the matches that took place on Monday.
With four matches, two in the 1st division and two in the 3rd division, Football Counter has got it all covered.
To kick-off with the Boys U-16 Group A match in the 1st Division, Jamnabai Narsee School (A) (Juhu) beat St Dominic Savio High School(Andheri) by 1-0. Prajin Gandhi’s goal turned out to be the winner.
Following up with the second match of the day in the first division, Group A match St Stanislaus High School(Bandra) registered a 1-0 win over Bombay Scottish High School(A) (Mahim).
Marven Pereira proved to be the hero for St Stanislaus with the winning goal.
In the Boys U-16 3rd division, Group E match, St Xaviers High School (Bhandup) failed to turn up against Campion School (B) (Cooperage).
Rounding off the matches at Azad Maidan with a 3rd Division Group C match, NSS Hill Spring International School( Tardeo) were 3-0 victors over Aditya Birla W.Academy (Tardeo). Parth Doshi, Dhruvil Gandhi and Krish Manekal were on target for NSS Hill Spring International School.
St Xaviers Ground, Parel
A very short day at the St Xaviers ground, Parel we had only two matches that took place in the Boys U-16 3rd Division.
The very first being a 1-0 win for R.N.Poddar School(CBSE) (SC) over St Thomas Academy (Goregaon). Jitendra Thakran netting the winner in the Group C match.
To round-up the day, St Xaviers High School (Borivali) recorded an impressive 3-1 win over Gyan Kendre Secondary School (Andheri). Runal Patil scored a brace and Aniket Gurbani were on target for St Xaviers.
