Round up: MDFA 2nd Division – 7th August, 2016

The Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) Second Division League 2016-2017 kicks-off at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel, on Sunday, August 7, 2016. There were a total of five matches that took place.

The action at Parel commenced with Worli SC winning 1-0, beating Godrej and Boyce in the Second Division Group B match. Priyesh Chalkar scored a spectacular goal in the second half and led Worli SC to victory.

Things didn’t look too well for Pifa Colaba as Vision Rescue dominated them with a 2-0 score with Surya Naikar scoring two goals in the second division group A match.

Samuels FA enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Utkarsh Mandal with Shivam Gohil and Harshad Dudhwadkar scoring a piece each in the second half.

To follow up with a goal fest, we had another 1-0 win coming up next in the group B match. Mumbai United triumphs over Supreme FC 1-0 with Pranit Gaikwad scoring the only goal in the first half.

Rounding off a busy and thrilling day, IIT Powai shared the spoils with Gray Athletic Club (Group A) with a 0-0 Draw.
