Round-up of Day 1 Boys: Hindu Hruday Samrat Chashak Rink Football Tournament.

The 4th Edition of Hindu Hruday Samrat Chashak Rink Football Tournament kicked-off today. The two-day long tournament constitutes of 24 Boys Teams and for the first time, in the tournament’s short history, 10 Girls Teams. After Round 1 of matches, 12 Boys Teams were knocked-out of the competition, as winners progressed into the next round.

The 24 Boys Team were divided into two groups of 12 teams. The group ‘A’ featured, Radicals FC, Powai FC, CITI Boyz, FCB United, HDFC, FFC (A), NFC, UK United, All Stars FC, Gladiators FC, Team United and Kheranicha Raja FC. While Monster Boys, Ultimate Warriors FC, Parle United, KNFC, Elshaddai United, A United, Maccabi Tel Aviv, FC Inazumaii, Saki Village FC, FFC  (B), Kaswa and Supa Strikers were in group B.

Group A

In the opening match of the group, Radicals FC was knocked out by Powai FC wit ha goal margin of 3-0. On the scoresheet for Powai FC were Aslam, and Mahir with two goals. In the second match, CITI Boyz was granted progress into the next round as FCB United failed to turn-up for the match.

FFC (A) produced a resounding 6-0 win over HDFC; a Kalpesh hat-trick, two goals from Sadam and Clinzon helped FFC (A) a dominating performance. UK United progressed into the next round, a result of NFC’s failure to be present on the ground during the time of the match.

Galdiators FC overcame All Stars FC in a tough matchup by 2-0; a goal a piece from Ganesh and Satvera helped their side with the goals. Team United also produced a 6-0 winning scoreline as they triumphed overKheranicha Raja FC; Khsuwant Saini scored three goals, as goals from Rishit, Ishan and Kaushik added to the scoresheet as well.

Group B

Ultimate Warriors FC went all guns blazing on  Monster Boyz, coming out as 7-0 winners; Rahul managed to lead in the scoring department with three goals, Patara added to his team’s tally with a brace, whereas Dinesh and Rahul’s two goals added to an already dominating scoreline. In a close matchup, Parle United faced KNFC. The tie went into penalties, and a narrow 2-3 score, in the end, separated the two teams, as KNFC progressed to the next round.

Elshaddai United failed to make their chances count, as they stumbled to a narrow 2-1 loss to A United; Elshaddai United took an early lead in the first minute, but goals from Tushar and Himashu turned the tie on its head by the time referee blew the full time whistle. A 7-0 win for Maccabi Tel Aviv hardly surprised many, as they defeated FC Inazumaii; Roysten’s hat-trick and a brace from Alex was complimented with goals from Gaurav and Craig.

Saki Village FC defeated FFC (B) by 5-0; Saki’s Gaurav scored a hat-trick wit hThapa joining in with a brace. The final match of round 1 for the boys saw, Kaswa progress into the next round with Supa Strikers failing to turn-up.
