Rishikesh Shinde’s Hat trick sinks KSA in MDFA Elite Division

Central Bank of India

In the afternoon of 28th December 2016, an Elite Division match took place between Central Bank of India wearing the Dark Blue jersey & Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) wearing the Red jersey at Cooperage Ground.

The match saw a fine hat-trick of goals from the lone scorer Rishikesh Shinde which resulted in a 3-0 win over the Red & White outfit.

In the 34th minute,  Russel Galbano of Central Bank put forth a delightful cross from the left flank in the box which met Rishikesh Shinde, who lofted a low shot using his left foot & putting it past the keeper, making it 1-0.

Sherwyn Chang, the captain of the trailing side in the 35th minute tried an attempt on the goal but was wonderfully saved by CBI’s goalie Siddarth Lavande, later three minutes were added before the half time break which was well earned by Chang who earned a free kick from just outside the box but nothing got to be added on the score sheet as his teammate shot it far wide of the post.

Half Time score line: Central Bank 1-0 KSA.

As the second half was started by KSA, they got in game with attacking football in an attempt to score an early equaliser but soon in the 46th minute the blue team took advantage of a counter-attack which got on to the feet of Nihar Jadhav who put in a promising cross from the right flank which met Rishikesh Shinde again who headed it in powerfully past the keeper and making it 2-0 for the blues.

Soon the first substitution of the game took place in the 49th minute from the Red team as Kenneth Desena made way for Bishaw Thapa. In the 57th minute, Chang got on to the referee’s notebook for a foul on Raj Bhoir.

A penalty for the blue team, as in the 65th minute, Nadeem Khan was got down by a KSA defender as the brace holder stepped on to take the penalty who lashes it in the right-hand side of the post that marked his hat trick of the game, also seen to be the last goal of the match.

KSA trying really hard to attack with the ball conceding numerous free kicks for themselves on both the flanks but the leading side were defending the ball pretty well at the back.

In the 71st minute, another yellow card was conceded by the blue team player Melywin Vaz with a missed time challenge on Chang.

Another substitution from the Red team in the 75th minute got Saine in place of Franco Dominic.

The second yellow card in the 77th minute for Raj Bhoir saw him the first red card of the game which got CBI down to 10 men but it didn’t really affect the leading side.

Injury to Nihar Jadhav from the blue team in the 82nd minute forced its coach to make a substitute by getting in Ravi Sonawang & after 3 minutes the hat trickster was called out for Oylen Serrao as he had done his job in the game.

Another red card of the game awarded to Chang as he was booked for a challenge on the blue team player made it 10 men against 10 in the 88th minute.

An extra five minutes were added which only saw a substitution for the blue team as Melywin Vaz came out making way for Sunny in the 94th minute.

Resulting Fulltime score as Central Bank of India beat KSA by 3-0.
