Rahul Mitra Mandal scores five past Falcon in MDFA 2nd Division
Rahul Mitra Mandal demolished Falcon (Mulund) 5-1 in their Group G clash of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) 2nd Division at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on Friday.
Atul and Ankit Chavan scored a brace, whereas, Suraj scored a goal for Rahul Mitra Mandal. In return, Vishal Jadeja scored the consolation goal for Falcon.
Rahul Mitra Mandal dominated the match proceedings and kept the majority of the ball possession. Their passing and pressing were top-notch. Their first goal came after just two minutes when Suraj opened the scoring.
After continuing their attacking display, Rahul Mitra Mandal scored their second goal through Atul in the 15th minute who brilliantly placed his effort in the back of the net.
Falcon started to settle in the game and somehow defended well after conceding the second goal. But Rahul Mitra Mandal went on a rampage mode in the second-half.
Ankit Chavan made it 3-0 with a sublime finish in the 43rd minute only to see Falcon opening their account seven minutes later. Vishal Jadeja scored from the edge of the box to cut short the deficit.
Rahul Mitra Mandal’s last two goals came in the dying minutes when Atul and Ankit Chavan registered their second goals and completed a 5-1 victory.
