In the past, the people in charge of the MSSA has never left a stone unturned for the progress of Indian football. This season they aim to take the league to a new level. The inauguration was efficiently organised which included bands and other fireworks. The Guest of Honour was the chief editor of ‘Afternoon and Despatch & Courier’, Freyan Bhatena! We started the league with two matches of the day. The first match saw Campion School (A) take on Navy Children School. The match ended in a 0-0 draw. Campion School are the defending champions going into the new season. What a brilliant way to start the new season with the defending champions in action!

The second match saw St. Mary’s School (ICSE) clash against St. Francis D Assisi (A). It was the boys from St Francis who came out on top winning 3-0. Amongst the goal scorers were Harsh Dhekale, Dhiren Patni and Johnson Mathews. Dhiren Patni opened the scoring in the 13th minute, Harsh Dhekale doubled the lead in the 21 st minute.
