MSSA Round up: 30th July, 2016- Part 1

The penultimate day of July, i.e Saturday, 30th July saw another batch of exciting matches at both venues. Football Counter brings you the Round Up of the matches held at Azad Maidan in Part-1!

The day included only IInd division matches from various groups. Here is a wrap up of all the matches.

St Anthony’s High School from Vakola drew 1-1 against St Xavier’s High School from Fort in the Boys U16, 2nd Division Group A match. Darshil Savla was on target for St Anthony’s and Simnan Shaikh scored for St Xavier’s.
Balchandra Patel and Aryan Sanil scored for Our Lady of Perpetual School.

Chembur to win 2-0 against Hiranandani Foundation School from Powai in the Boys U16, 2nd Division Group D match.
Smt. R.S.B. Arya Vidya Mandir from Juhu drew 0-0 against St Lawrence High School from Borivali in the Boys U16, 2nd Division Group B match.

St Pius X High School (A) from Mulund registered a dominant 3-0 win over Holy Family High School Andheri. Joel D’Souza led the team to victory scoring a brace with Ruben Fernandes complementing him with a goal in the Boys U16, 2nd Division Group C match.

The second group C match in the Boys U-16 saw a 6-goal thriller as St Anne’s High School from Orlem won 4-2 against Activity High School, Peddar Road.

Melson Fernandes with a hattrick inspired St Anne’s to victory with Madhav Modak scoring the other goal. Jash Parikh’s brace wasn’t enough for a fight-back for Activity High School.

The final match of the day in the Azad Maidan, Parel in the Boys U16, 2nd Division Group A match saw Colaba Mun Secondary School from Colaba beat St Andrew’s High School from Bandra by a 1-0 scoreline.
