MSSA Round up: 28th July, 2016
Ridge D’Mello shines for Sacred Heart High School, whereas Neel Pandya and Purvesh Sangle does the trick for St. Xavier’s Boys ‘A’. Here is the round up of the matches played on 28th July at St. Xavier’s Ground Parel and Azad Maidan, Churchgate.
MSSA Ground, Azad Maidan:
In the first match of the day, Antonio D’Souza High School thrashed Colaba Municipal High School 4-1 to continue their fine run of form. Siddhesh More, Karan Yadav, Mithil Kedar and Kazi Murtuza scored each to see off Colaba Municipal High School. In the second game, Simnan Shaikh and Mujeeb Merchant helped St. Xavier’s High School to register a narrow win against St. Andrews High School. Nester Mascarenhas got on the scoresheet for Bandra based school, but it proved just a consolation goal.
Ansh Jain cancelled out Omar Patel’s goal as Lilavati Podar High School settle for a 1-1 draw against Maneckji Cooper Education Trust. In the other game, goals from Utsav Pradhan and Lancy Makasare inspired Holy Family High School to a 2-0 victory over St. Anne.

St. Xavier’s ground, Parel:
Ridge D’Mello once again proved his potential after netting a fine hat-trick to help Sacred Hearts to register a thumping 6-0 victory over Thakur Vidya Mandir. Shervin Fernandes and Jason D’Costa scored the other two goals. In the next game at Parel, twin strikes by Aniket Kamble inspired Our Lady of Health (Sahar) to a 2-0 victory against Bombay International School.
Brace from Neel Pandya and Purvesh Sangle proved enough as St. Xavier’s Boys ‘A’ comfortably wins 5-1 against St. Joseph’s High School.
