MSSA Round up: 25th July, 2016 – Part II

After a long break on Sunday, 24th July, the action in the MSSA 2016-17 league resumed on Monday, 25th July. They say the first day of the week is boring! But tell that to a football fanatic and he will give you a million reasons to how it is not.

There were a total of six matches that took place at the Azad Maidan on Monday, 25th July 2016. Once again Football Counter has it covered for you.

We began with Maneckji Cooper Education Trust getting a 3-0 victory over Campion School (B) in the Boys U-16, 3rd Division Group E match. Aman Khanna led from the front scoring two goals in the match with Dev Oza scoring the third.

The other team from Campions were in action next. Campion School (A) drew 0-0 with Jamnabai Narsee School (A) in the Boys U-16, 1st Division Group A match.

The Boys U-16, 1st Division Group A had three more matches that were played. Navy Childeren School from Colaba got a 3-0 win over St. Dominic High School from Andheri. Prince Kulhari, Rahul Sethi and Akash Singh were amongst the scorers.

 Match No.4 saw St Mary’s High School from Mazagaon beat Hansraj Moraji Public School from Andheri by a narrow margin, winning 1-0. Makhanojia Bilal was once again the stand out player scoring the winning goal. To round off Boys U-16, 1st Division Group A matches on the day, St Joseph High School from Wadala played out a 0-0 draw against Swami Vivekanand International School from Kandivali

Over to Match No.6 of the day: Smt. R.S.B. Arya Vidya M from Juhu defeated Don Bosco High School (B) (Matunga) by 2-0 in the 2nd Division Group B match.

And to Round Up the day with a 1st Division Group B match, Don Bosco High School from Matunga thumped the Christ Church School from Byculla by 5-0. Aryan Hukumchand once again leading the line with a brace, complemented by a goal each from Atharva Jagtap, Atharva Gaikar and Lance Fernandes.
