MDFA U-14 Youth League 2016 Round-up: Day 3

After some exciting matches on the first two days of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Under-14 Youth League, the third day continued from where it had, and in a similar fashion where further eight matches went underway at Lions Municipal Sports (Santa Cruz) and Azad Maidan, MSSA.

Here is the Round-up of 5th November 2016:

Group A

In the first match of Group A at Lions Municipal Sports Complex, Goans registered an easy 4-1 victory over Sellebrity. Goans who had won their first by seven goals didn’t fail to emulate the same performance. Arya Gandharva scored yet another fine hat-trick for Goans which took his goal tally to six goals in two games. The fourth goal was scored by Ryan Shah, whereas, Rohan Bhowad scored the lone goal for Sellebrity.

The second match of the Group A saw Kapadia Nagar sailing past Carmelites with a scoreline of 3-1 to register a memorable victory. Prince Beniwal netted a fantastic hat-trick for Kapadia Nagar. Akash Baidya scored the only goal for Carmelites.

Group B

Both the matches of Group B was a close affair as only four goals were scored combining both the matches at Lions Municipal Sports Complex. Rhema Sports Foundations narrowly overcame Indian Football Academy 2-1 with Joshua D’Souza and Yash Keswani scoring for the winning team. Dominic Davis scored the only goal for Indian Football Academy.

A solitary goal by Errol Noronha proved to be enough for Mumbai FC as they breeze past their counterpart Vision Rescue 1-0 in a nail-biting match. This was Mumbai FC’s second win in as many games and they are surely one of the contenders.

Group E

In the first match of Group E at Azad Maidan, MSSA, Madanpura FC defeated SP Academy 1-0 through Amir Khan’s decisive goal.

In the second match of Group E, Riding on Kushal Gohil‘s stunning four goals, MSSA (Mumbai Schools Sports Association) overcame Sunday Boys with a resounding 8-0 victory at Azad Maidan.

Apart from Kushal Gohil’s brilliance, Rohan Fernando, Karsten D’Souza, Anson Tauro and Rahil Shah netted one goal each.

Group F

In the first of Group F at Azad Maidan, Kenkre FC was awarded a 3-0 victory as St Paul’s failed to turn up.

The second match saw Bharat FC defeating Nav Nihal 4-0 in a one-sided affair. Mitesh Baria scored twice, whereas, Aryan Kazmi and Md. Jasdanwala netted one each.
