MDFA U-14 League 2016 Round-Up: Day 5

The match day 5 of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) Youth League 2016 kicked-off at Lions Municipal Sports Complex and MSSA, Azad Maidan. In group ‘A’ Mumbai United beat Carmelites 10-0, as Atharva Dhuri and Anirudh Ruke got themselves hat-tricks. While in group ‘F’ St. Paul got all three points, as opposition Nav Nihal failed to turn-up. Let’s look at the action from this matchday in detail:
Group ‘A’
Mumbai United outclassed Carmelites by 10 goals without reply. Mumbai United ran out as a comfortable winner, in the end, as Atharva Dhuri and Anirudh Ruke scored hat-tricks with Chris Fernandes scoring a brace, Aayush Sudhakar, and Pratham Mishra also got their names on the scoresheet with a goal apiece.
In the other group ‘A’ match, Sellebrity beat Kapadia Nagar in a close encounter, where a solitary strike from Zubair Karbhari proved enough for the former to earn maximum points.
Group ‘B’
Steadfast managed to comfortably overcome an Indian Football Academy (IFA) side, winning by 3-1. Bhagesh’s goal for IFA did not have much impact on the match, at the full-time whistle as Zeeyan Nevraker’s two goals and a Shane D’costa strike proved to the difference in the end.
While Rhema Sports Foundation featured against Vision Rescue in a goalless draw. Neither side was able to produce a goal-bound effort throughout the match, as the full-time scoreline proves to be a clear testimony of it.
Group ‘E’
PIFA suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sunday Boys in their second match of the group; strikes from Aditya Rawat and Neel Kadam abled Sunday Boys to overcome PIFA, for whom Veer Kamdar scored.
MSSA ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against SP Academy. MSSA’s Khush Goel scored two goals past SP Academy to earn his team 3 valuable points at the full-time whistle.
Group ‘F’
Salsette managed a 2-1 victory over Bharat F.C. as a two fine individual efforts from Kanishq Jhadav in front of the goal, brought his side’s two goals; one of which separated Salsette, as they overcame Mitesh Baria’s strike for Bharat F.C.
Nav Nihal failed to turn-up for their third group match against St. Paul’s F.C, As a result, the latter were handed over a 3-0 win.
