Jupiter SC thrash Bombay FC 6-2
In the second game of the day Jupiter locked horns with Bombay FC, a game which produced 8 goals.
Bombay FC entered into the game looking hungry for a result but little did they knew that Jupiter had other plans. Bombay FC put up attacking display right away and in the 7th minute Zara Lalzar’s weak shot was parried into the goal, courtesy some horrific goalkeeping. Bombay FC 1-0 Jupiter SC. An early goal conceded and a howler from the keeper would have been enough to down the morale of the team but instead Jupiter went on a rampage. minutes later conceding a goal Jupiter SC won a penalty at the other end and a chance to go level. Striker Yamik Holkar calmly converted the penalty and brought Jupiter back into the contest. Bombay FC had their moments but no outcome was seen as both teams went into the half with Jupiter having a slender advantage.
After the interval Jupiter looked to increase their lead but Bombay FC got into the act and in the 45th minute won a penalty and a chance to equalise. Dhrumil Kakkad stepped up and gave Bombay FC the relief and start afresh. Bombay’s resiliance was tough to break but Jupiter managed to put some cunning balls and the next three goals were scored in quick succession. Dhanraj Shetty stepped up to score the 4th in 62nd minute as Yamik Holkar doubled his tally in the 65th minute and Dhanraj put the final nail in the coffin in the 79th minute as Jupiter emerged triumphant. At the final whistle Bombay FC had their hand over heads in grief over the rampage they were a victim of.
