Lilavati Podar beat NSS Hill Spring 2-0, cementing their place in the Division III finals.

Two goals in each half helped Lilavati Podar School emerge victorious by two goals to zero over NSS Hill Spring School at Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) Ground, Azad Maidan on Friday afternoon, 19th August 2016.

Archit Kovilingam gave Lilavati Podar a first half lead just 10 minutes after the kick-off and, in the 44th minute, Siddhant Pal bagged the second and finishing goal.

NSS Hill Spring had the most ball possession but gave a flat deliverance in terms of passing and shooting on target. Archit Kovilingam took the situation to his advantage and effortlessly netted the ball in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Podar’s Aryan Dicholkar, triggered by his fellow teammate’s spectacular deliverance, took a wonderful shot but unfortunately missed.

Although, Hill Spring started the second half as brightly as the first half and was so close to equalizing the score, Podar’s Siddhant Pal cut through, hauled the ball all over to the opponent’s defense line and gave it a sublime loft, racking up a gut-twisting goal in the 44th minute, leading his team to the finals.
