Cejetan Dias dribbles past BEST defender

Boxers FA registered a 3-1 victory in the game against BEST arts and sports club.

Kundan Chandra’s valuable experience and powerful movement thru the midfield was the difference as Boxers FA cruised to a 3-1 victory in a Second division encounter at Parel. Chandra moved the ball very well and occasionally tested the goalkeeper and was rewarded in the 11th minute as he put his side in the lead and moments later Cejetan Dias doubled the lead in the 13th minute. The game was well controlled by the Boxers midfield and the ball distributed very well that created the attacks more frequently. BEST  team regrouped after falling back twice and pulled one back through Bhikru Prithviraj in the 22nd minute when the goalkeeper spilled an easy collection chance and Bhikru made no mistake in scoring the goal for BEST. the score read 2-1 and BEST sensed a comeback but that was shortly lived as Cejetan headed the third from a Kundan Chandra cross which was perfect to the millimeter. Boxers FA walked into the half time with a comfortable lead of 3-1.

Second half resumed and Boxers mounted attacks on BEST, but BEST were more resilient this time around. Boxers tried to penetrate but their attacks thwarted every time. BEST’s goalkeeper was far more alert and was on top of every shot taken by the Boxers strikers. BEST had their moments but could not quite convert their chances. The game swung from one end to another as Boxers and BEST both failed to net a goal in the second half. The game ended 3-1 in favour of Boxers FA, but the highlight of the game was the whole of Boxers team walked to the BEST dugout and applauded the efforts of the BEST team who had players in mid 30’s & 40’s. gestures like this help people believe that football is a healer and a wonderful tool to socialise.
