KSA and PIFA Colaba share spoils in Elite Division

Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) and PIFA Colaba had to share spoils in a frustrating 0-0 draw in their MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Elite Division clash at Cooperage Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Both the outfit are yet to impress this season and are currently lying either in mid-table or fighting for survival.

KSA’s Hasan Golwalta almost had his shot in the back of the net when his right footed powerful drive sailed over the bar on the 5th minute.

On 10th minute, PIFA Colaba’s Faique Ansari became the first player to get booked, when he brought down KSA’s Max Hanslen with a harsh challenge.

Although a minute later PIFA Colaba got their best chance of the first-half. Scott D’Souza beautifully found Seydou Coulibaly with a delicate through ball, Seydou tried to slot the shot under KSA’s custodian Kishan Sulegai but the inform goalkeeper brilliantly kept out the shot with his leg.

Scott D’Souza once again builded a equisite move, when his cross met Johnson D’Silva on the edge of the box, but his shot was once again saved by Kishan Sulegai.

PIFA Colaba dominated the rest of the half with a strong attacking approach. KSA were lucky to not concede when PIFA Colaba got three consecutive corners just before the half-time.

Both the teams went into the break with the scores tied at 0-0.

The second-half was more or like the first-half, as both the teams miserably failed in front of the goal.

On 67th minute, KSA’s Stevens missed an easy chance and late in the second-half, Stevens found the back of the net with a neat finish but it was ruled out as he was offside.

A match where tons of chances were missed and in the end both, KSA and PIFA Colaba shared the spoils.
