Joga Bonito are the champions of Powercup 3.0

In traditional fashion, the third edition of the Powercup Tournament, ‘Powercup 3.0 – by Kick-for-all’ saw a new champion in Joga Bonito on Sunday, 24th July 2016; with the past two editions won by Maccabi Tel Aviv and Kalina Village respectively. Joga Bonito overcame a resilient side in Autonomous by a 2-0 margin in the final at Kick, Powai.
The tournament witnessed a few major upsets in serious title contenders being eliminated in early stages as both sides hurled tough competition from Maccabi Tel Aviv, Kalina Rangers, Uncle’s Kitchen, KVB and United Amboli Boys on their way to the final.

Under the management of Pritam, Joga Bonito managed to grind positive results during tense situations to get better of their oppositions at all times. Meanwhile, Autonomous, who put up an excellent display of team spirit and determination throughout the tournament, stumbled at the final test; as their manager Ronald helped his team collect and build upon the positives from a highly achieving tournament for Autonomous.

Competition winners, Joga Bonito received a cash prize of Rs. 18,000 and a spellbinding trophy along with coupons from Adidas worth Rs. 9000. Whereas, Autonomous collected a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a runners-up trophy with coupons from Adidas worth Rs. 4500.

Along with benefits for the finalists, the Powercup winners make a direct qualification in the final-32 teams of Redbull Neymar Jr. 5 Tournament, which is scheduled to be happening later in 2016.
