India U-17 side thumps Bundesliga Youth League’s club Rot Weiss Oberhausen

The Indian U-17 World Cup Squad currently in Germany defeated German Bundesliga Youth League’s Second Division club Rot Weiss Oberhausen U-17 4-1 at the Sports School in Duisburg, Germany on August 14, 2016.

The Indian squad took a flying start when Abijit Sarkar tapped home an Aniket cross from the left flank in the 4th minute to hand India a lone goal lead against their opponents.

The Germans dominated possession and scored in the 13th minute from counter attack ruining the Indian Defence.

Aniket corner kick put India in the leading position in the 37th minute. Half time score bring 2-1 in India’s favour.

India trying hard to lock the game in the 2nd half as Suresh’s shot from inside the box after Sanjeev’s pass went inches wide of the goal in the 49th minute.

The Indian Colts sealed the match in the 73rd minute when Sanjeev free-kick directly crashed into the back of the net to give the Colts a two goal advantage as the scoreline read 3-1 in their favour. Jitendra added more gloss to the scoreline as he scored in the 85th minute to make the scoreline read 4-1.

It was a hard time for the Indian Defence to take control of the game but attack put the pressure on the Germans. The final scoreline read 4-1 to India.
