Fr. Agnel, Blue coast to easy 3-0 victory

Mumbai, April 9: Fr. Agnel, Blue enjoyed an easy outing by coasting to a 3-0 win against a young, inexperienced MSSA XI (Mumbai Schools Sports Association) in a league encounter of the Women’s League in the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2015-2016 and played at Karnatak SA ground, Cross Maidan on Saturday. Valencia Mascarenhas, Aviya Vaz and Namrata Thakur combined nicely with their teammates and scored a goal apiece to seal the win for Fr. Agnel.

In another match, Aadhar Pratishtan riding on goals from Muskaan Mehra and Jehan Jaikishen, managed to get the better of S.P. Football Academy by a narrow 2-1 margin. Yashmitha Mhatre scored for the Academy outfit.

In the third match of the day, Sea View SC and Kenkre FC shared honours in an exciting 2-2 draw. Ruqqaiya Shaikh got both the goals for Sea View, while Aari Rawat also netted both the goals for the Kenkre side.

Results – Women’s league: Aadhar Pratishtan 2 (Muskaan Mehra, Jehan Jaikishen) beat S.P. Football Academy 1 (Yashmitha Mhatre).

Fr. Agnel, Blue 3 (Valencia Mascarenhas, Aviya Vaz, Namrata Thakur) beat MSSA XI 0.

Sea View SC 2 (Ruqqaiya Shaikh 2) drew with Kenkre FC 2 (Aari Rawat 2).
