Deep Wagh’s lone strike helps PIFA Colaba Under 17 to win over Grey Athletic

Pifa Colaba Under 19 are celebrating Deep Wagh’s goal turned out to be winner

On Tuesday, 13th December 2016 Second Division MDFA match between PIFA Colaba U17  and Grey Athletic, kicked off on schedule at 2pm at St. Xavier’s ground Parel.

Though PIFA Colaba kick start the game, Grey Athletic confidently got the ball on their feet and even had a wonderful counter attack which could turn out to be the first goal of the game in the very first minute but the goalkeeperr Danis Hasmi put it out of play with an amazing save at the far left post and breathe a sigh of relief.

Both the teams were trying their best to score as well as defend but ended up resulting a 0-0 in the first half.

In the 16th minute of the second half, a free kick was awarded to the men in orange taken by Deep Wagh with a right footed shot Deeping past the keeper in the far left post bracket resulted in being the first goal of the game.

Sooner the referee Mr.Climent marked his authority on the game by showing 2 yellow cards for a quarrel between Altamas Khan of Grey Athletic & Siddesh Rane of PIFA Colaba. Another yellow card is shown to the lone scorer of the game in the dying minutes of the match.

With the pressure of conceding a goal, Grey Athletic started playing more offensive but weren’t able to get an equaliser which resulted from the match to end in the favour of PIFA Colaba U17.
