Day 3 Round-up: Rustomjee Kenkre Champions League

The 3rd day of the 3rd edition of Kenkre Champions League concluded in a commendable way at Don Bosco International School Ground. Various matches of U8, U10, U12, U14 category were played which produced some exciting football among the young core of Mumbai.
U8 Boys –
AB Champs produced a strong and effective approach against Lions to flat them 3-0. Ishaan Jhingan scored twice for the victors, whereas Vedant Agarwal scored the other goal.
Other results: SFA (Jinay Jain, OG) 2-1 Bulls (Aryan Jitendra) and FFA (Owais) 1-0 Scottish Avengers.
U10 A Boys –
Siddhant Salvi scored a fine hat-trick for OIS United to help them thump Scottish Scooters. The fine striker could have got another goal in the end, but his shot rattled the bar and went out of the play.

U10 B:
Arhaan Bhat became the second player of the day to net a hat-trick. His fantastic performance proved effective, as Super Strikers thrashed GE 5-1. Ishaan Sampat and Kahaan Menda scored the other two goals. In the same group game, FFA humiliated Super Stars 7-0, Ziev’s hat-trick and goals from Hanzala, Hamza, Jaffar and Dwaj also got on the scoresheet.

U14 A:
Football School of India ‘B’ had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Galactico Utd. Chinar’s goal for Football School of India was cancelled by Ammaar Sura’s goal.

U14 B:
Tridents thrashed Supersonics 8-1 to strengthen their position as both of their attackers Rohan Kulkarni and Veer Gidwani netted a fantastic hat-trick. Nathan Fernandes and Atharva Shinde also got their names on the scoresheet.
Mohammed Ali Naqvi scored the consolation for Supersonics.

U12 A:
Bosco Dragons see off FFA (Red) 3-1 with the help of Harsh Palande’s brace and Gareen Shah’s goal. Meanwhile in the other game, Daksh’s lone goal proved enough for Dabang Stars to overcome
Chargers.

U12 B:
Kings United demolished GE by ten goals to nil to produce a thunderous attacking display in the U12 B category. Karsten D’Souza scored a hat-trick and Harsh Naik got a brace for Kings United. Shriharsh Surepalli, Neel Naik, Vedant Sawant, Boris Fernandes and Scott Rodrigues scored one each.
