A dream journey of Vatsal Bhatia

Vatsal Bhatia is a name doing the rounds for all his good saves. Currently, he earned his trade for Goa 5 in Premier Futsal, Vatsal has spent a majority of his football career playing at clubs across Mumbai and Goa. Now earning a deserved share of applause and appreciation from the masses, the 24-year-old goalkeeper has made a fine beginning to a new endeavour in his career.

Using his on-field expertise and skills, Vatsal Bhatia seeks to coach and build a strong PRS side, a club he manages in the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) Super Division. An All India Football Federation (AIFF) ‘D’ License coach, Vatsal is the head coach of Green lawns International School, Worli. Playing at the top level of MDFA – in the Elite Division – Vatsal Bhatia has featured for Bank of India in the 2010-11 campaign. The 24-year-old goalkeeper moved to Mumbai Customs in the following season, after a remarkable one-year at Bank of India.

Holding I-league experience, representating ONGC football club U-19 in the year 2011-12. Also, played for Mahindra United Football club U-19 for the year 2008-10.

His achievement say a lot about the talent bestowed upon him. From 2008-10, having played for Mahindra United Football club U-19, being runners up in the 2008-09 edition of MDFA Mahindra United Football club. Winners in an year time in the Subrato Mukherji Cup U-19 2009-10, being runners up in the year 2008-09 under MMK Junior College. Winners of Western India football association under Thane District 2008-09 and under Mumbai District in the year 2010-11.

Finishing his campaign in the Premier Futsal for Goa 5, Vatsal is still in awe for this wonderful opportunity. Having played with star studded team he says ” It does not get any better than this, playing on the same team as Ronaldinho and playing against Ryan Giggs, Salgado, Sean Garnier, Paul Scholes, and the boss himself Falcao.”

Calling his journey a dream. His ability to multi-task and work in diverse conditions to achieve given goals has given him a decorated name amongst the youth.
