The recent emergence of Footvolley in India

With the likes of Football, Kabaddi already on the rise, there is this sport which might be not synonymous among the sports freaks but has the potential to see a rapid growth in the coming years. Footvolley – As the name suggests, it is a combination of Football and Volleyball. Quite the similar way of playing football on volleyball pitch.

Footvolley was created by Octavio de Moraes in Rio de Janiero’s Copacabana Beach in the year 1965. Earlier in the very same year, clubs enforced a football ban over the summer in order to ensure that the players didn’t get injured. In response, the players took the game to Volleyball courts, and that’s how Footvolley saw its inception.
