23rd July, 2016: Results from Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) matches held on Saturday

The first match of the day had St Anthony’s High SchoolBosco of Vakola take on Colaba Mun Secondary School in the U-16 Boys, IInd Division Group A. Inzamam Shaikh’s brace guided St Anthony’s past the Colaba Secondary School as the match ended 2-0 in their favor.

Moving ahead to the second match, St Mary’s High School from Mazagaon clashed against St Joseph’s High School from Wadala in the U-16 Boys, Ist Division Group A. Both sides managed to share the points as the match ended 1-1. Bilal Mqkhanojia was on target for St Mary’s while David Lupeng was the scorer for St Joseph High School.

The first walkover in the MSSA 2016-17 happened when St Pius High School team from Mulund failed to turn up for their match against Activity High School from Peddar Road in the Boys U-16, IInd Division Group C match.

The walkover was followed by a 0-0 draw in the Boys U-16, IInd Division Group D match between St Mary’s High School of Kalina and the Utpal Sanghvi School from Juhu.

A 0-0 draw was followed by a 1-1 draw in the Boys U-16 2nd Division, Group D match between Hiranandani Foundation School from Powai and The Cathedral & John C School from Fort. Sabu Savran netted for Hiranandani while Yashodhar Sharma equalized from the Cathedral & John C School.

Match No 6 in the Boys U-16 2nd Division, Group A, saw a scoreline of 1-0 in favor of Antonio D’Souza High School of Byculla who beat St Andrew’s High School of Bandra with Ansari Dayyan being the hero of the match.

To round off an exciting day Smt R.S.B Arya Vidya Mandir from Juhu shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw against St Joseph Secondary School from Malad in the Boys U-16, 2nd Division Group B match.

Four draws, two wins and a walkover complete Day 3 fixtures held at the Azad Maidan in the MSSA League 2016-17. A total of seven goals were scored during the course of seven matches.
