Yuva Pratishan thump Sri Nidhi S.S

With MDFA football (Mumbai District Football Association) kicks off in a highly anticipated new season, various clubs from all over Mumbai are looking to book their place in one of Mumbai’s famous tournament.

The pre-qualifying round will ensure new teams who’ll play in 3rd division of MDFA.

Yuva Pratishan FC took on Sri. Nidhi S.S at Xaviers football ground on Tuesday, the team in blue thrashed Sri. Nidhi 4-0 and ensured their place in next round.

Right from the start, Yuva Pratishan dominated the match with series of attempts. The deadlock was broken in just four minutes when Salman Khan scored from a precise ball from Mohsin Siddiqui, none of Sri. Nidhi defenders were able to intercept the ball from Mohsin sums up how remarkable his vision was.

Yuva Pratishan kept dominating the match further and found their second goal 12 minutes later when Sri Nidhi’s goalkeeper couldn’t hold on to the ball after saving Shashank Soni’s attempt, the resulted failure saw Jipin scored from close range to make it 2-0 for Yuva Pratishan.

The first half unsurprisingly ended in Yuva Pratishan’s favour.

Just four minutes into the second half, Sri. Nidhi’s Survesh headed his effort in goal; only to find that his attempt didn’t crossed the goal line. That attempt was Sri. Nidhi’s first and unacceptably their last attempt on goal.

Nitin Singh and Shadaran’s goals in last moments of the match made it 4-0 for Yuva Pratishan; ensuring their place in next knockout round. Meanwhile, Sri Nidhi S.S needs to try their fortune next year.
