Vile Parle’s U-18 Champions Cup scheduled for 26th July
Champions Cup, an U-18 tournament is scheduled to be held at Urban Sports Turf at the Prabodhankar Thackrey Gymkhana in Vile Parle East on Sunday, 26th July 2015.
The tournament will feature sixteen teams who will have to go through a group and knock-out format before the eventual champion is crowned. Every side will be allowed a maximum of eight players in the squad, with five first team players and three substitutes.
The tournament will come as a major boost for football at a grassroot level in Vile Parle who already has a rich footballing culture thanks to sides like Utkarsh Mandal and Hedgewar Boys, being seasoned campaigners in the MDFA League.
The age limit is what has set this tournament apart. With boys less than the age of eighteen on show, these sides will have a great chance to pick some players for the senior sides.
To top it up, a bumper cash prize of Rs.15000 is on offer for the winners along with a glittering trophy to go with it.
So if you feel you have it in you to be the Champions of the Champions Cup, register your team as soon as possible as no registration will be entertained after 16th July.
