Suriya hits hat-trick in Vision Rescue rout of Anand Bal Mitra Mandal

On 24th of November 2015, the Mumbai District Football Association (M.D.F.A.) division 3 fixture was played-out at the Mumbai School Sports Association (M.S.S.A.) ground between Anand Bal Mitra Mandal and Vision Rescue. The scoreline of Anand Bal Mitra Mandal 0-4 Vision Rescue does tell the readers, exactly, how the match unfolded. The goalscorers from Vision Rescue were no. 2 Suriya, who scored a hat-trick and no. 5 Prashant P.
The first-half of the game kicked-off with Vision Rescue dominating the match while, creating a number of chances as they threatened the Anand Bal Mitra Mandal goal from a very early stage. They were rewarded for their hardwork in attack inside 3 minutes, when no. 3 Suriya scored his first of three goals to give his side Vision Rescue an early lead to build-upon. As the match progressed, and as Anand Bal Mitra Mandal gradually tried settling into the game, they were wasteful in attempts to attack and pressurize the Vision Rescue defence with mistimed, miss-hit and on occasion gave away the ball in areas from which they were exposed by the pact Vision Rescue attackers.
A.B.M.M. with an ambition to level-up matters as the game reached its later stages in the first-half pushed – relatively slow defenders – higher-up to sustain the opposition in their own-half. But that plan to a great extend backfired, and favoured the quick attackers to run into spaces behind the A.B.M.M. defence.
Suriya struck, again on 22 minutes, and gave Vision Rescue and much needed two-goal cushion as the teams progressed into the second-half of the match. The scoring wouldn’t stop from Rescue on the day, and inside 5 minutes of the second half they took the lead from a third goal from Suriya, who completed his hattrick as he finished-off a fine team move to wrap up all the points for his side whilst showcasing an all-round praiseworthy individual performance.
Others didn’t take time to join the procession, and no. 5 Prashant P. scored with a neat finish to give his side an unassailable 4 goal lead. The mountain for Anand Bal Mitra Mandal became steeper, which there rarely looked like successfully climbing in order to get the better of a much superior opposition in Vision Rescue.
Meanwhile, in the previous matches: S.C. Chincholi beat Baba Boys by 2-1, P.D. Hinduja beat Muktadevi also by a margin of 2-1.
