St. Anne’s record overcome Bombay International School to record second straight win

St Anne’s High School,Fort enjoyed their second straight win as they beat Bombay International School,Babulnath 2-0 in the U-16 MSSA Girls tournament held at MSSA grounds on 3rd September 2015

St Anne’s strikers were on offensive from the very start of the game with Renée Talati, Amisha Bhasutkar and Tricia Collaco contionously attacking the Bombay International School’s goal post.

The ball hardly entered the St Anne’s defense in the first Half of the game and when it did Natallia Braganza easily cleared the ball away and by the end of first half both the teams were unable to score.

In the half hour mark of the game, Renée Talati put a shot at goal which touched the Bombay International School defender Atiriya Narayan and the deflected shot went for a goal.

The Bombay International goalkeeper Alisha Vohra was being heavily tested and she did made some great saves in the second half.

But in the last minute of the game Tricia was able to double the lead for St Anne’s as the ball went over Alisha, who made a great attempt to save the goal but failed as the match ended.

As the final whistle blew,St Anne’s High School defeated Bombay International School 2-0. Renée and Tricia scoring a goal each to lead thier side to a victory

St Anne’s goalkeeper, Inaamz Saheed wasn’t 100% fit for the game but her coach was glad she wasn’t worked a lot during the game. “She is not well ( Inaamz Saheed) thank god she didn’t get tested today”, said the St. Anne’s HS coach.
