Samuel FA survive late Village Amboli scare to bag all three points

Samuel Football Academy staved off a spirited challenge from Village Amboli to snatch a close 2-1 in a Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Monday evening.

Samuel FA have impressed with their performances so far in the MDFA 2nd Division League, and continued their rich vein of form in the first half against Village Amboli. Despite dominating the first half, Samuel FA had nothing to show for it as the two sides went into break level at 0-0

Samuel FA were cruising to a comfortable win until, Village Amboli pulled a goal back through Dustin D’Costa in the 57th minute to set up a nervous end for Samuel FA.

But the young Samuel side held their nerves to hold on for a victory.
