Ryan International School enters MSSA Boys U14 Final

On 21^st October, 2015 Ryan International School (Malad) book their place in the final of Mumbai School Sports Association U14 after edging past Rustomjee International School 3-2 in penalties.

The score was levelled at 1-1 after the normal time. Suvarna Gautam (Rustomjee International) and Jeet Mehta (Ryan International) scored earlier in the first half on 10^th and 18^th minute respectively.

Rustomjee started the match brilliantly when they kept threatening Ryan International’s defense. Smit and Samkit Shah kept creating chances for the boys in yellow, the breakthrough came on 10^th minutes when Smit set up Suvarna Gautam on goal where his right footed strike found the bottom corner, making it 1-0 for Rustomjee Internationals School.

Ryan International, then could have scored just after the kick-off but Jeet Mehta’s shot from just outside the box went wide.

Minutes before the half-time, Jeet Shah finally scored as he slotted his effort on the far post to level the things up. His great positioning caught Rustomjee’s defense napping as didn’t made any mistake in front of the goal.

The second half was dominated by Rustomjee but gritty defense from Ryan International somehow prevented further goals.

The match had to be decided on penalties, Smit who took the responsibility on goal managed to save twice but it was not enough for Rustomjee International. Jeet Mehta’s final penalty found the left bottom corner which send Ryan International School into the final of MSSA Boys-U14’s final.
