Ravish D’Souza nets hattrick to sink Jai Hind SC
Ravish D’Souza bagged a fine hattrick for Union Sports Association against Jai Hind Sports Association to decimate the latter 4-0 in the 20th Late Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football League Tournament 2015-16 at KSA Ground on Sunday noon.
Union SC dominated the game, playing a high tempo game Union could have scored more.
Union SC came into the match after a sensational 12-0 win in their last match. They started the match where they left. On the 4th minute, Union’s Akshay Devadiga tried to curl his free kick into the top corner but his sailed over the bar.
Minute later, Union’s Ryan Thomas lashed a powerful shot from range, but once again it went past the post.
Jai Hind’s goalkeeper kept them in the game with some brilliant reflexes. On the 16th minute, the goalkeeper made two back to back saves to deny Sunil Peddamalli and Akshay Devadiga.
Although three minutes later, Union SC finally broke the deadlock. Striker Ravish D’Souza cuts inside and burried his left footed drive into the bottom corner, to give Union SC a deserving lead.
Three minutes later, Ravish D’Souza made it 2-0 to put Union SC in drivers seat. His fantastic shot proved too good for Jai Hind’s goalkeeper as he saw his shot sailing past him.
In the second-half, Jai Hind’s goalkeeper once again made two fantastic back to back saves to deny Union SC their third goal.
Ravish D’Souza’s right footed shot was saved by the goalkeeper and felt into Sunil’s way, whose shot was once again kept out by Jai Hind’s goalkeeper.
Midway into the second-half, Union’s substitute Noah D’Costa got deflected off Harish Shetty and went into the empty net.
Couple of minutes later, Ravish completes his hattrick and also increased Union SC’s lead to four goals.
It was the last piece of the action as Union SC thrashed Jai Hind SC.
