Rampant Malvani SC put seven past hapless F.C. Khar Sporting

Malvani S.C turned on the style as they crushed F.C. Khar Sporting 7-0 in the 2nd Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) held at the St. Xavier’s Ground in Parel on Monday, 23rd August 2015.

Malvani were rampant from minute one and created many chances in the opening ten minutes, but failed to make them count. Malvani’s Manpreet Gypsy had an effort saved by the goalkeeper after he latched on to a cross from Haxi B.

But five minutes later Malvani opened the scoring through Reagan whose shot found the net despite the goalkeeper getting his finger tips to it.

In the 21st minute Manpreet Gypsy was in the thick of things once again but couldn’t find the net as his low drilled effort went wide of the target.

3 minutes later Malvani S.C doubled their lead when Carlton M. fired home from close range after receiving a pass from David D’Souza.

The duo was at it again few minutes later when they set up Manpreet Gypsy who finally got the reward for his efforts making it 3-0 in Malvani S.C’s favour at half time.

The second half was similar to the first half as Malvani added a fourth goal in the 39th minute as Ritesh squeezed the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs after being found by a cross from the right wing.

The floodgates had opened and Malvani S.C were in no mood to slow down. Moheeb made it 5-0 for last season’s 3rd Division Runners-Up as he latched on to a through ball and rounded off the goalkeeper to score, before Ritesh Sathey added to Khar Sporting’s woes by scoring a sixth goal.

But there was more agony for Khar Sporting who were waiting for the referee to get them out of the misery as Haxy D’Souza was allowed a free run at goal before he obliged and made it 7-0.

The win will be a great shot in the arm of Malvani S.C who will now be looking to seriously contend for the play-offs
