R.B.I smash five past Chheda Nagar Prodigies
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) thrashed Chheda Nagar Prodigies 5-0 in a 1st Division game of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) held at St. Xavier’s Ground in Parel on Friday, 16th October 2015.
RBI stepped up the ante very early on in the game and Chheda Nagar Prodigies were taken aback by the quick start by their opponents. But the Chembur outfit resisted the early pressure and kept RBI at bay.
But in the 18th minute, Chheda Nagar Prodigies could do nothing about Hriday Sethi’s effort which flew into the net to give RBI a deserved lead.
The opening goal opened the floodgates and RBI doubled the lead just four minutes later when Abhishek A fired in RBI’s second goal to put them 2-0 in front. Siama L then added a third goal for RBI before the break and send them into half time firmly in the driver’s seat.
Chheda Nagar lifted their game in the second half, making it a more of a contest but Abhishek A netted again in the 62nd minute to put an end to Chheda Nagar Prodigies’ revival. Two minutes later, Hriday Sethi who opened the scoring for RBI, also finished it with a second goal and make it a score of 5-0 in RBI’s favour.
