Zestful Kenkre go down to already qualified Pune FC

On Saturday afternoon, Pune FC U15 narrowly overcame a spirited Kenkre FC U15 side 2-1 in the HERO U15 Youth League Maharashtra Zone at PFC Ground, Pune.
Pune FC took the lead early in the first-half through Aryan Thite, but Kenkre FC soon levelled the terms when Bishnu Bohara tapped in from close range. Pune FC’s Substitute Aadarsh Vanjare made a quick impact as he scored the winner midway into the second-half.
The visitor started on a high note as a quick attacking approach from Kenkre almost put them in front.
Kenkre FC were playing highline early into the game which cost them a needless goal on the 6th minute. A delightful ball found Aryan Thite clear on goal, he slotted his effort into the right bottom corner to give the host a vital lead over a energetic Kenkre side.
Five minutes later, Kenkre FC’s goalkeeper Aurash Irani showed brilliant awareness when he saved a bullet header from Ishan Dey to deny Pune FC their second goal.
Kenkre FC finally started to settle into the game and their hard work paid off on the 24th minute.
Jay Bhavnani showed some eye pleasing skills when the number 29 danced past three Pune FC defenders, nutmegging one of them before finding Striker Bishnu Bohara who tapped from a close range to level the score.
The goal motivated the visitors and specially Bishnu Bohara. On 38th minute, Bishnu almost doubled Kenkre’s lead when his shot whispered past the right hand post.
Both the teams went into the break with score tied at 1-1.
