Pune FC canter to an easy win over Kenkre FC
In-form Pune FC U-18 thrashed Kenkre FC U-18 4-0 in the HERO I-League U-18 at Cooperage Stadium on 28th November, 2015.
Chesterpaul opened the scoring on 34th minute with a solo goal where he dummied couple of Kenkre’s defender and burried his shot into the right bottom corner.
Ten minutes later, Lalawmpuia made it 2-0 as his shot found the left top corner. Lalawmpuia doubled his tally in the second-half with a sublime finish and moments later Amos Lalnienga headed Pune’s fourth goal which also proved to be the final goal of the match.
The visitor dominated the match with their attacking display. Chesterpaul, Lalawmpuia and Mohammad Yasir created havoc in Kenkre’s half.
Kenkre somehow held Pune FC but only until 34th minute when quick and pacy winger Chesterpaul scored a sweet solo goal.
Just a minute before half-time, Pune FC’s top scorer Lalawmpuia increased their lead by two goals. The number 10 lashed his right footed shot into the top left corner to went into the break with a two goal advantage.
In the second-half, it took the visitors only six minutes to find the back of the net.
Inform striker Lalawmpuia was set on goal by Daniel Hmar’s delightful ball, the former comfortably beat the goalkeeper after placing it into the right bottom corner to register his second goal of the game.
Five minutes later, Chesterpaul too could have got his brace but his loose shot was just off the target.
Pune FC’s Captain Dimple Bhagat then launched a powerful shot from 25 yards which almost found the top right corner, but unfortunately it sailed over the bar.
To avoid conceding any goals, Kenkre FC sat back in the late stages of the match which made Pune FC to find the back of the net from distance.
The pressure from Pune’s attack proved to much for Kenkre FC. On the 76th minute, Pune FC’s winger Chesterpaul found Amos Lalnienga with a fantastic cross, who perfectly headed in to complete the rampage.
Kenkre somehow held their nerves in the last 15 minutes as Pune FC U-18 completes a 4-0 thrashing.
