One point at a time, as Victorino rescues Sporting Club de Goa against Pune FC 1-1

Sporting Club de Goa manages to recover itself from a defeat in the second half with the help of Victorino Fernandes, who scored for the team in the 66th minute in the I-league match held at the Balewadi Sports Complex.
Victorino was prepared to score from the very start as he attempted a low shot at the goal. But the ball never entered the goal as the Pune FC goalkeeper Amrinder seized the ball. Pune counter attacked the next moment as Ryuji Sueoka shot at the goal which was off target.
5 minutes later, Gonsalves passes the ball to Thongkhosiem Haokip and it seemed he will score but then referees intervened as it was an offside
Cajetan Fernandes lands a yellow card in 27th minute offering a chance to Goa to score which they failed to take advantage off. In the 32nd minute again, Cajetan Fernandes chipped the ball as it reached,
Mauvin Borges legs over the attacking defenders. He wasn’t able to control the ball and it was safely collected by Amrinder.
Sueoka, appealed for a penalty as he fell inside the box while he tried to score from a ball passed by Nikhil Kadam, intercepted by Sporting Goa. With 3 minutes off added time coming to an end, half time comes to an end.
50th minute saw, Fanai Lalrempuia kick the ball which Sporting goalkeeper Ravi Kumar punched away from the goal for a corner. Thongkhosiem Haokip finally scores the first goal for Pune FC in the 54th minute. Haokip places the ball into the net, past Ravi Kumar the Sporting Goalie.

In the74th minute, Victorino paced from the left only to be denied a goal by Amrinder as he deflected ball with his legs.
Splendid saves by Amrinder while the Sporting Goa attacked relentlessly. 81st minute witnessed another test for Amrinder which he passed when he punched away the free kick. Suddenly Goa had started dominating the match aiming for goals.
Borges takes a shot 4 minutes later again saved by Amrinder who had been the strength of Pune Fc the last man standing before the ball could enter.
As the final whistle blew, the game ended with both Haokip and Victorino score 1 goal each for their respective teams.
With Sporting Club de Goa, who still haven’t been able to win a match out of the six games they have played. Pressure will be on them to prove their worth while Pune FC move to the 2nd spot after today’s match.
