Nigel Fernandes scores 2 in KWA ‘B’ win

Mumbai:  KWA (Kolovery Welfare Association) ‘B’ struck prime form to register a convincing 4-1 victory against Kalina Village Boys ‘B’ in a sixth round league encounter of the 15thKalina Football League -2015, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Chruch Sports Committee, and played at
the St. Mary’s High School ground, Kalina, Santacruz.

The star of KWA’s win was Nigel Fernandes who scored a brace while Fahad and Russell Galbano contributed one goal each to complete the winning tally. Sanju Pawar netted the lone goal for the losing side.

Meanwhile, KWA ‘A’ team shared with Air India Colony as they played out a 1-1 draw in another league match. Joyson Galbano was on target for KWA and Sachin Medar scored for AI Colony.

Earlier in a boy’s under-16 match, Air India Colony youngsters had things much their own way as they stormed to an emphatic 8-0 win against Kalina Village Boys JP United. Ratnadeep Lokhande, Tauseef Khan and Kishan Singh, all scored two goals apiece, while Maharshi Pareek and Siddhart Pagare chipped in with one goal each to seal the victory.

Results – Men’s league (6^th round): Air India Colony 1 (Sachin Medar) drew with Kolovery Welfare Association ‘A’   1 (Joyson Galbano).

Egyptian Boys 1 (Rohit Jacinto) drew with Indo Nest 1 (Akshay Sonawane).

Kalina Rangers 0 drew with Kalina Village Boys ‘A’ 0.

Kalina United 1 (Darren Fernandes) drew with Kalina Village Boys ‘C’ 1 (Swapnil Raut).

Kolovery Welfare Association ‘B’ 4 (Nigel Fernandes 2, Fahad, Russell Galbano) beat Kalina Village Boy ‘B’ 1  (Sanju Pawar).

Boys’ under-16: Air India Colony 8 (Ratnadeep Lokhande 2, Tauseef Khan 2, Kishan Singh 2, Maharshi Pareek, Siddhart Pagare) beat KVB JP United 0.

Junior Rangers 5 (Vinay Puthumana  2, Tilak Shetty, Keegan Pinto, Caleb D’Souza) beat Inspiring Humanity 1 (Kunal Jagtap).
