St. Theresa High School Bandra thumped Learner’s Academy from the same suburb 5-1 in a Group D encounter of the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) 3rd Division held at the St. Xavier’s Ground in Parel on Wednesday, 5th August 2015.

Faizal Saiyed grabbed a brace for St. Theresa, adding to goals from Pratik Jaiswal and Nitin Chanchwani. On the other hand, Mohammed Momin’s goal for Learner’s Academy proved to be a mere consolation as St. Theresa grabbed the bragging rights.

In the other Division III games played at the MSSA-Castrol School Sports Center at Azad Maidan, St. Francis D’Assisi High School narrowly defeated VCW Arya Vidya Mandir 1-0. It was Dhiren Patni’s goal which helped settle the F Group encounter in the favour of the Borivali based school. Another Group F encounter saw Lilavatibai Podar Hish School ISC hand Infant Jesus School from Malad a 3-0 defeat.

In a Group E game at Azad Maidan, a superb brace from Vedant Salunke helped Balmohan (English) beat St. Mary’s High School ICSE 2-0 after N.S.S Hill Spring International School eased past Campion School ‘B’ with a similar scoreline thanks to goals from Amaan Amiri and Kian Guard.

St. Xavier’s High School Borivali scored a gritty 1-0 win over Bombat Scottish ‘B’ with Sahil Khan’s goal for the Borivali school proving to be the difference.
