Malvani S.C. too strong for P.D. Hinduja Hospital

Malvani S.C defeated P.D Hinduja Hospital in the 3rd division match of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on 14th May 2015.

Malvani S.C completely dominated the game and held the P.D. Hinduja Hospital under siege.

Mlavani S.C made a bright start when Rulon Dias hit his shot straight on target in the 5th minute. No.22 gave a cross to Rulon Dias which he controlled and shot towards the goal as Malvani F.C led by 1-0.

5 minutes later Malvani S.C’s Rulon Dias efforts went wide of the goal when he lifted a shot from 6 yards wide. He got a pass from Haxi D’Souza from right wing and carried the ball towards the 6 yards area and shot. It was a good chance missed by Rulon Dias.

P.D.Hinduja Hospital’s attempt to score was well shielded by Malvani S.C’s Sohail Qureshi in 15th minute. P.D.Hinduja Hospitals Santosh K. crossed to Sumit M. from left wing. Sumit M. ran along with the ball and tried shooting on target when Sohail Qureshi sliding tackle directed the ball away from the goal.

5 minutes later P.D.Hinduja Hospital’s Vilas Dangre missed a good chance to score as he failed to control the volley shot by Rohan L. from the left wing. This shot could have equalized their score for P.D.Hinduja Hospital.

The first half ended with Malvani S.C ahead by one goal.

3 minutes after the break Malvani S.C’s Ritesh Sathe doubled the lead for his team with assistance from Haxi D’Souza. It was a good move played between both of them inside the penalty box which confused the goalkeeper as he failed to trace the ball. Malvani S.C were now at 2-0.

P.D.Hinduja Hospital broke the defense in 32nd minute when Melvin T brought them back into the game with a classic long ranger, making it 2-1

P.D.Hinduja Hospital’s Suyog Kadam missed a chance from free kick in 38th minute as his shot went wide towards left. It was a log range shot hence it was not well directed.

Malvani S.C killed the game in 44th minute when David Dsouza scored from a corner. Malvani S.C made it 3-1.

2 minutes later Malvani S.C Haxi Dsouza made it 4-1 when he skipped in from the right wing and whipped a right foot efforts on target. It was the final goal scored by Haxi D’Souza.

In the last minute Malvani S.C failed to score from penalty shot by Albinas C. The goalkeeper made a good save.

Malvani S.C performance was very good but their score could have been higher as they missed many chances.
