Madanpura U-19 overcome Shree Mauli Mandal; Jupiter F.C thump Millat FC ‘B’

Madanpura U-19 had too much for Shree Mauli Mandal as they two goals in the second half were enough for the Madanpura youngsters to record a 2-0 win in a 3rd Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) at St. Xavier’s Ground in Parel on Monday, 27th April 2015.

Madanpura took time to get into the act as a spirited Shree Mauli Mandal managed to thwart them in the first half which ended goalless.

But Madanpura came out in the second half with much more vigour and were instantly rewarded just two minutes into the second half when Ansari Earaf scored to put Madanpura in front.

The goal gave the Madanpura youngsters the much needed impetus and they soon made the game safe with a second goal in the 38th minute from Salim Shaikh which made it 2-0 in Madanpura’s favour.

This meant there was no way back for Shree Mauli Mandal as Madanpura U-19s eased to the victory.

Earlier in the day, Yamik Holkar’s twin strikes were instrumental in steering Jupiter FC to a convincing 3-0 victory against Millat FC ‘B’ in a one-sided Third Division encounters of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel, on Monday evening.

Jupiter dominated the match from the outset and had things under total control. Kunal Sonawane netted the third to seal Jupiter’s fluent win and ensure they claimed the full three points.
