Lethal Ansh Travel edge past Kalinga Youngsters

Ansh Travel defeated Kalinga Youngsters  3-2 in the 3rd division match of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on 20th March 2015. Kalinga’s youngsters who scored two goals in the first half failed to match the pace of Ansh Travel in the second half.

The first goal was scored by Kalinga Youngster’s Sumit Gaikwad in the 5th minute. The goalkeeper failed to stop the ball and the ball entered the goal.

The following goal was scored in 8th minute by the same player, Sumit Gaikwad. The technique used by Sumit Gaikwad was very nice. He kicked the ball in such a way that made the goalkeeping confused and he dived in the opposite direction to stop the ball.

In the 10th minute Kalinga Youngster missed a very important chance as the players failed to pass the ball to the correct player and in the correct direction.

In the 15th minute Kalinga’s Aadil Lakdawala scored his first goal. He kicked the ball from mid field towards the goal and the goalkeeper came in front to collect the ball at the wrong time and that resulted in the goal.

In the 22nd minute Kalinga’s Vikas Bavvan missed a great chance to score as the ball went over the net.

At the end of first half Kalinga Youngsters were leading by 3-1 and Ansh Travel were still trying hard to match the scores.

In the 27th minute, Ansh Travel’s Rishi Ailani scored the second goal for the team. This goal brought back their confidence and they played with full determination after the deficit was reduced.

Two good chances were missed by Ansh Travel in 29th and 30th minute. Had Ansh Travel taken thse chances, they could have put the game to bed, but poor concentration in front of goal did not help their cause

In the 32nd minute Suraj Singh received a yellow card as he pushed a player of the opponent team.

The goalkeeper of Ansh Travel was hurt as the player of the opponent team kicked the ball with full intensity and aggression. Kalinga Youngsters became very aggressive during the second half as they were under pressure.

In the 36th minute Ansh Travel’s Rawat Rishi had a chance to score a goal but he dashed against the goalkeeper of the opponent team and was injured.

The last few minutes were very challenging for Kalinga Youngsters. They failed to score goal in the second half and they lost the match.
