Kapadia Nagar F.C. versus Supreme F.C. Ends In A Goalless Draw

On the 26th of December 2015, Kapadia Nagar Football Club featured against Supreme Football Club in the Mumbai District Football Association (M.D.F.A) Division 3 fixture at the Mumbai School Sports Association (M.S.S.A) ground, Azad Maidan. The game ended at 0-0 after ‘n’ number of chances were flashed wide with only a handful of chances – partially – troubling either goalkeeper, K.N.F.C versus S.F.C concluded in stalemate.

In the first-half of the match, initially, both teams fancied attacking as-soon-as they were in possession of the ball in order to exert an early attacking-pressure on their opponent. In the 5th minute of the match, S.F.C tried to exploit the space in-behind the K.N.F.C defence, when a S.F.C. midfielder spotted his teammate’s run in-behind the defence; as the latter received an equally well-timed pass complementing his run, but failed to get a clean strike on-goal.

On the other-hand, K.N.F.C received their first-chance in the 8th-minute, but a timely interception from the S.F.C defender inside the box cleared-off the danger. As the half progressed, K.N.F.C tried to have a go at the opposition goalkeeper from a variety of angle, but largely misfired their shots or hit them straight into the hands of then goalkeeper.

In the 14th-minute, K.N.F.C were presented with a glorious chance to take the lead after a neat combination play down the right-flank to setup Shoaib through on-goal, but the no.7 missed-out on the opportunity to put his side ahead, taking a touch more, when he should’ve hit the ball the first-time. As the half came to its closure, a series of attempts were flashed wide of the goal, first by S.F.C and moments later by K.N.F.C, whose no.19 tried an ambition long-range – just wide of the right-hand post.

4 minutes into the 2nd half, K.N.F.C were presented with another game-changing moment, but they couldn’t convert it. The match lacked genuine opportunities that could significantly affect the course of the game, and as the half reached its midway point, K.N.F.C were pressed with a free-kick chance on the left-side of the 18-yard-box, but the attempt was tipped-over by the goalie at the very last moment.

K.N.F.C came agonizingly close to scoring the opener twice inside 4 minutes via no.7 Shoaib, but he couldn’t convert both the chances; as he saw his first effort go wide of the right-hand post and the second effort being blocked by a S.F.C defender.

Most end results of K.N.F.C’s attacks had their coach frustrated on the touchline than it affected the momentum of the other team as the match ended with the deadlock yet to be broken by either side.
