Indian Navy thump KSA to maintain perfect start.

A determined Indian Navy overcame Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) 3-0 on 18th November, 2015 in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) Elite Division clash.

Vishnu (45′), Bibake Thapa (49′) and a absymal own goal from Stevens were enough for the ‘until now’ undefeated Indian Navy who has now won five out of five this season.

The first-half was a dull affair where both the side failed to deal with either defense. On the half an hour mark, Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) almost opened the scoring when Indian Navy’s goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy poor clearance fell to Tarique Ansari whose loose shot was easily saved by Bhaskar Roy.

Minutes later, Max H. brilliant cross found Patrick Mascarenhas whose sublime volley whispered past the right post.

Arif Ansari of Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) too came close for scoring when his initial free kick sailed over the bar

On the brink of the first-half, Indian Navy finally took the lead. Biplab Dhar’s precise cross was met by Vishnu, whose looping header proved too good for Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) goalkeeper Kishan Sulegai as Indian Navy went 1-0 up going into the break.

The second-half was much better for Indian Navy. It took them only four minutes to increase their lead to two goals.

Biplab Dhar again proved to be the provider as his fantastic cross was headed into the goal by Bibake Thapa, making it 2-0.

The final goal of the evening was an own goal. Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) Stevens unfortunately put the ball into his own net as Indian Navy went 3-0 up with ten more minutes left.

Stevens loose ball was intercepted by Sarbjit Singh who released the ball towards GPK Sharma, by trying to clear Sharma’s low cross, KSA’s Stevens put the ball into his own net.

With this win Indian Navy are sitting on the top of Elite division with 15 points in 5 games.
