ICL B brush aside lacklustre Grey Athletic

In the 2nd division of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) match on 6th October, 2015 between ICL and Grey Athletics, the former won 3-0 with help of Captain Akash Agarwal’s brace and Mrudul Parab goal at St Xavier Ground, Parel.

ICL started brightly as they kept attacking with their Skipper Akash Agarwal dictating their play from the flank. Mrudul Parab’s creativity was also noticeable with numerous key passes into the box.

Mid way into the first half, it was Mrudul’s precise ball that led to first goal of ICL. Akash Agarwal bombarded from the right flank into the box where he found Mrudul’s fine pass which he comfortably placed it into the bottom corner, making it 1-0 for the boys in white and red outfit.

ICL’s Akash Indulkar tried his luck from range, as he found space and took an effort from 25 yards which was eventually saved by the goalkeeper.

ICL didn’t had to wait for the next goal, on 56th minute Akash Indulkar set Mrudul on goal where he went past the goalkeeper and scored the second goal of the game.

Tremendous performance from Mrudul as he already provided assist in first half and after the break he got his goal.

Though it was Captain’s moment all over written in this match, ICL’s Akash Agarwal got his second and his team’s third goal of the game where he blasted his shot into the left corner.

It was a complete performance by ICL, they were balanced in defending and as well as in attacking, if this same performance is continued ahead then surely their opposition will have a hard time.
