Former QPR star Bobby Zamora could make ISL switch

Bobby Zamora who was released by relegated QPR could be heading for the Indian Super League to play for FC Pune City, despite failing to match the standards set for becoming a marquee player earlier this month.

Zamora who starred for the likes of Spurs, West Ham, Fulham and most recently QPR during his twelve year stint in the Barclays Premier League scored sixty two goals in the English top flight.

Zamora who is a free agent right now is rumoured to be wanted by David Platt who recently was appointed as the manager of FC Pune City in the ISL.

The former Manchester City assistant manager is a big admirer of the former West Ham and Fulham striker and is plotting a bid which will lure Bobby Zamora to India.

FC Pune City having already recruited David Trezeguet last term are now looking at Bobby Zamora to lead their attack in the second season of the Indian Super League which will get underway in October.

Despite not being considered as a marquee player by the ISL committee, Zamora could have similar impact and help FC Pune City launch an improved bid to qualify for the play-offs this time around.
