Football Leaders thump Shree Mauli Mandal

Football Leader hammered Shree Mauli Mandal by 8-0 in the 3rd division match of MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on 9th May 2015 .It was a one sided game right from the outset which ended in embarrassment for Shree Mauli Mandal.

Football Leaders opened their scoring from the penalty spot in the 2nd minute. The shot by 10. He hit the right corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance for goalkeeper to make a save.

Football Leaders doubled their lead in the 9th minute when Prince D. gave a pass to Dwayne which he controlled and fired past the goalkeeper as Football Leader led by 2-0.

It was difficult for Shree Mauli Mandal to match their pace meaning they had no chances to show their supremacy

Football Leaders’ Kundal Chandra missed a good chance from a free kick in the 20th minute as the goalkeeper made efforts and made a save. He got a pass from half line and fired from 6 yards towards the goal to which the goalkeeper dived and caught the ball.

A minute later, Dwayne compensated for his loss when he skipped the goalkeeper who came forward to make a save and turned the ball towards left and fired a grounded shot straight on target. Opponent player tried to block him but Dwayne crossed him and curled home as Football Leaders went ahead by 3-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half was action packed, as Football Leaders completely took the game to Shree Mauli Mandal.
Ravinder added the fourth Football Leader in 28th minute when he fired the shot into the goal as the goalkeeper efforts fell short.

4 minutes later Devesh N. header turned into the goal which game from a free kick just outside the half line. Devesh N. tactically grabbed the situation and headed the shot on the target to make it 5-0.

Dwayne made it 6-0 in 38th minute when he skipped in from the left wing and whipped a right footed effort into the goal as he completed his hat-trick.

2 minutes later Dwayne whipped another goal for Football Leader and the score became 7-0 triumph. Dwayne shot from 6 yards and the goalkeeper failed to save. The goalkeeper should have been replaced as he was exhausted.

Ravinder scored the final goal for Football Leader in the 48th minute as he easily skipped the opponent players and dragged the ball towards the goal and curled home.

It was due to lack of team work that shree Mauli Mandal failed so miserably succumbed to a Dwayne led Football Leaders outfit.
