Early blitz sees Our Lady of Fatema overcome Tarun Sporting in a six goal thriller
Our Lady of Fatema (OLF) overcame Tarun Sporting 4-2 in the 2nd Division of the the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) at St. Xavier’s Ground in Parel on 25th August 2015.
Rohit Awasti opened the scoring for OLF early on before Viraj Kamble doubled their advantage on 8 minutes.
But Tarun Sporting made it an interesting contest by pulling a goal back through Tabish Mulla, just before the interval.
But OLF further increased their lead when Viraj Kamble bagged his second of the afternoon to restore OLF’s two goal cushion, only for Tabish Mulla to get his brace and make it 3-2.
But it was OLF who had the last laugh as Ransom Dantis put the result beyond Tarun Sporting by netting his side’s fourth goal of the game.
Our Lady of Fatema’s superior fire power eventually prevailed over Tarun Sporting.
