Despredos and BBC share the spoils in a six goal thriller

One of the best nail biting match of this season of Mumbai District Football Association took place on 10^th October 2015 in 1^st division at St Xaviers Ground, Parel. The match between Despredos FC and BBC ended 3-3 where the latter came back from 3-1 to draw the match 3-3.

Both the teams from 1^st division had their opportunities in first fifteen minutes but couldn’t find the net.

Despredos FC’s Kunal Bari was set on goal by Dipen Bari, the former went past two defenders and struck his shot into the left corner, giving the lead to Despredos FC.

Just minute later, BBC was dispossessed and Despredos capitalize on it. Kirnesh Meher with superb tidy feet inside the box rolled the ball to Tanuj Meher, who took his time and blasted his shot into the middle of the goal, making it 2-0 for Despredos FC.

BBC who are tied with Dias United Football Academy were left in surprised as they were down by two goals with only thirty six minutes on the clock.

BBC responded well and scored just before the break to ease the pressure. Aditya Gaykar’s long ball found Mujib Sheikh who comprehensively scored past Despredos FC goalkeeper.

Cajetan Dias, who is the man behind Dias United Football Academy was the most impressive player among both the teams.

In the second half, Dipen Bari quickly scored as he bombarded from the left flank into the box, beating the goalkeeper comfortably and making it 3-1 for Despredos FC.

BBC had only thirty minutes to at least earn a point, with most of the people thinking the match is over for the Dias United Football Academy based club, BBC, there was a late twist in the tale.

With BBC pushing forward to grab late goals, suddenly a dangerous ball was popped up into the box where Mujib Sheikh comfortably placed his shot into the net to cut the deficit to only one goal.

It was the academy players of Dias United Football Academy who was dominating the last twenty minutes of the game.

With less than two minutes left, BBC were awarded a free kick on the right flank, Cajetan Dias stepped up to take the free kick. Cajetan Dias dangerous ball into the box were headed in by Abhishek Rathod to register an impressive comeback for BBC.

A six goal thriller which ended in a dramatic way. It was surely a match to remember for both the outfit.
