Day 4 Rustomjee Go Green: The enthusiastic younger players dish out exciting matches (Under- 12, 10 and 8)

The fourth consecutive day of the Rustomjee Go Green Cup was brimming with energy and zest when it came to these three age sections with parents, coaches all equally a part of the frenzy.

Under- 8

The highlight match was the Don Bosco Derby as the A team took on the B one. There were many unique points to this encounter as both teams had the same coach and said their pre match prayers together.

Anik Lakra scored the first goal for Don Bosco B on a free kick from the left flank on the 10th minute. The ball found its place into the top right corner, beyond the reach of the keeper and the defenders.

After, the half time break , Nathan Paul scored for the B team on the 19th minute yet again on a long ranger.

The 0-3 score line came from Cristiano on the 22nd minute. The final goal to secure the 0-4 win for the B team was when the keeper Om surged ahead to knick in the penalty.

Thus, the Derby concluded with the Don Bosco B team handing a strong sefeat to their A team.

Under- 10

A single encounter lit up this section as the Cheetah’s took on the Jaguar’s under flood lights.

The entire match was dominated by the Jaguars as they had around 6 shots on target and their defense stood strong as well to answer the rare Cheetah runs into the box.

However, the match score card had a different story to tell as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the second half, Arnav Gorantala scored for the Jaguars on the 17th minute to put them in the lead. But, just a couple of minutes before the final whistle Stavyah Goradia put in a superb strike for the Cheetah equaliser.

Under- 12

The entertaining encounter in this category was the classic Don Bosco White vs Scottish FC.

In the 4th minute itself, Scottish went up in the lead as Indrajeet put the ball in the back of the nets.

4 minutes later, another free kick from the right side taken by Ryan landed directly into goal as SCottish went up 2-0 at half time.

In the 19th minute, Bosco finally got the goal that had been eluding them as Pratej scored from right in front of the box.

But, Scotrish came back again on the last minute of the match to win 3-1 as Ryan got his second goal again on a free kick.
