Chheda Nagar (Fan) vs. DK Pharma concludes in a frustrating goalless draw

Chheda Nagar (Fan) competed against D.K. Pharma in the Mumbai District Football Association Division 1 Group ‘D’ game at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on 16th December 2015. In a largely frustrating affair, which ended 0-0 to D.K. Pharma’s frustration and Chheda Nagar’s satisfactory defensive performance.
In the 40 minutes of the first-half, neither side created a genuine goalscoring chances inside the first-25 minutes and the scoreline remained at 0-0. Although, D.K. Pharma enjoyed a dominant first-half display, which saw them rule a large share of attacking chances created throughout the first-40 minutes. Almost toying with the Chheda Nagar’s midfield, at times, D.K. Pharma eclipsed their opponents in every department, but completely overshadowed their overall display with a miserable – and occasionally, misfortunate – display in front of the goal.
Chheda Nagar, rarely had a chance at their disposal to convert, and on one such occasion, Ferdinand D’Cruz missed-out to convert the opportunity minutes before the half-time whistle. D.K. Pharma might consider themselves unlucky for not going into the half-time break with an advantage, but having failed to convert any half or real chance – despite having possessed a controlling stake in the first-half there was only room for improvement in the second-half of the game; not only from D.K. Pharma, but also Chheda Nagar (Fan).
At the start of the second-half, it was Chedda Nagar, who created the first-chance of the second-half, but as the half progressed D.K. Pharma took charge, again.
Nearly all of D.K. Pharma’s good-work overall came from their coach who was hollering to his players, timely, each and every instruction, to which his team responded with equal effect. But, even the coach couldn’t stand the frustratingly poor decisions and passes his side made in the final-third.
As the second-half reached its final-stages, the frustration grew more than ever with neither side improving on their poor first-half displays. The game ended on a frustrating-note for D.K. Pharma while, Chheda Nagar would’ve been satisfied with a draw in a game in which they never really took-off.
