Chennaiyin FC’s Jayesh Rane calls for collective improvement

Unlike last season’s campaign of Indian Super League, Marco Materazzi’s Chennaiyin FC has been struggling this time around.

Chennaiyin FC have no point from two games which is indeed a poor start. Although Chennai dominated the second half against Roberto Carlos’ Delhi Dynamos they still struggled to get past the defenders.

India’s 2015 ‘Young’ Fan Player Of The Year winner Jayesh Rane who made his first appearance in the ISL this season, admitted that a series of mistakes and errors are causing them the match.

“We are making mistakes which is letting in goals and penalties. We need to work hard and I am sure we are going to fight back hard”, he stated.

The Mumbai FC attacker Jayesh Rane, who was brought in for Sena Ralte in second half didn’t have a good game as he was struggling against Delhi Dynamos defenders.

“I think I could have done better tonight. I’ll keep imprving on what I want to improve on. So lets see If I can start in next game, I will surely work hard for that.”said the Mumbai FC winger.

The 23 year old Mumbaikar still needs to convince Marco Materazzi by performing well in training or warm ups.

Staring for Chennaiyin FC and proving his critics will only do good for Jayesh. There are no shortage of experience in Chennaiyin FC’s dressing room from which he can learn a thing or two.

When asked about the experience in dressing room, Jayesh added “Its great to share experience with Elano and Materazzi, we learn many things from such players and this will definetly help all the players in their developement.”

Jayesh Rane’s entry into the game added the much needed energy to the Channaiyin attack, but some staunch defending from the Delhi Dynamos rearguard meant Jayesh couldn’t help his team get a point out of the game.

After a poor start, it is up to Chennaiyin FC to fight back and improvise. With more than 10 matches left to play for Chennaiyin FC they have all the time to bounce back.
